I kind of like how chopped-up this looks...like a collage of sorts...

It's great! I might recommend using feathering to make it less obvious that the things were not originally the same picture.

absolutely splendid! i just finished reading Abhorsen, and i have to say Sabriel is still the most beastly out of all the characters, and i'm pleasantly surprised to find great art to accompany such a heroine. Good job!

Can I make a small word?
What I mean to say, is that the bell bandoleer, it seems... too bulky. I've noticed this in a quite of Abhorsen Trilogy photo manips. I think that, as the Abhorsen, her bandoleer would have to be light, more versatile and agile.

Now, PLEASE DON'T GET ME WRONG! I loooove it.
It's just some food for thought!

my imagination obviously isn't as sneaky as yours, this is pretty much how i imagined it, a nice leather ammunition bandolier (though i imagined the bells to be on the inside...but they wouldn't look as pretty ;)) maybe a lighter type of leather?? :)

And I can't seem to find the 7th bell... It has eluded me!

I do agree that the bells look a lot better on the outside... Except now they make noise!
OH NO!!!!! RUUUUUUUN!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Just kidding.
Anyway, I do like it, even though it seems the most awkward of your pieces, somewhat cluttered and forced.
But then again, an Abhorsen's life is quite clutter and forced!

hehe, it was my first one, wasn't intending to make sabriel or indeed anything abhorsen-themed, the only thing i like about this piece is mogget ;) i was thinking of redoing sabriel, ...given time & proper inspiration :)

What proper inspiration that to read the books under your covers with a flashlight?

Oh yes, I love Mogget, especially his green eyes! And I definitely LOVE your Sabriel and her pose. Very nice, very nice.
Like I said, the only reeeeaaaalll thing that bothers me is the Bandoleer and bells.

I would say, that even if you didn't re-do, it would still be a fine piece.
