She was once a powerful necromancer and Free Magic sorcerer. However, after being bound into Death by the Abhorsen Sabriel, she became one of the Greater Dead.
For the rest of the series, she is a servant of Hedge. She wears a bronze mask over her face, giving her the name.
Chlorr was once named Clariel, and was once destined to be an Abhorsen. Her story will be further developed in 'Clariel: The Lost Abhorsen'

Well, I thought it had something to do with the fact that she has to wear a bronze mask. And because she has to wear a mask, that isn't her face, that was why she's called 'Chlorr no-face'.
If that made any sense, what so ever, I'll be surprised ^^"

that is the most clear cut answer but i wonder if there was something deeper to it, Mogget describes her as being 'overcautious' even when she was an 'abhorsen in waiting'??? oooh i'm so exited!!

wow i dident know that was comming out.
Iv just got a charity book he did call creature in the case ...( ye i think thats what its called) iv still to read it yet though cos i want to read across the wall first and now i know this ones out im so stoked :D

Have you ever thought of atempting to create a golden eye picture from shades children i think itd be right up your street
