Description
Again with creating Garth Nix characters. As with Ranna, Astarael was once a being but is personified in the Abhorsen Trilogy as a bell (though we do 'see' her for a while during Abhorsen) the power of her Bell is to sweep all who hear her into death. She is one of the only bell personifications who have an alias, she is also known as 'the Weeper' or 'the Sorrowful' and is also associated with the smell of Rosemary and Amaranth (hence their being in the picture)

I am in love with this artwork.
It has inspired me to design a Magic: the Gathering card for Astarael, the Weeper.
The image will be hosted on Cardsmith. I don't know if DA allows links in comments, but if you search MTG Cardsmith and then the profile "Memnarchitect" or the card "Astarael, the Weeper", you should find it.
The image will include credit in the space customary for a Magic card, as well as retaining the deviantART watermark. I will also mention the source in the comments with a link to this page and a recommendation to favourite it and/or provide feedback.
